Sunstone Montessori School

Sunstone Montessori School

Education for peace, education for life

Application and enrollment

Observation and visit

The application process begins with a visit to the school and a classroom observation. During your visit, you will have an opportunity to tour the campus and meet with a staff member to ask questions and get more detailed information about Montessori education and our program. You will also have the opportunity to sit in on a classroom for a 20 minute observation, to see the Montessori approach in action. If you’ve never seen a Montessori classroom before, this will give you an idea of what school will be like for your child. If you are familiar with Montessori, the observation is still a great way to for you to see what Sunstone is all about.

Application

You can download an application, receive one in the mail, or pick one up when you visit. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee. Spaces are still available for September, 2010. Considerations in the application process are balancing enrollment for age and gender, suitability of the child and the family to the Montessori approach, and (in the case of older children) prior Montessori experience.
